Creative Portrait

Location Task - Balancing flash and ambient light indoors

Task

Today we will visit two locations on campus at CIT. Your task is to create three portraits at each location, that include enough of the location to establish context. The portrait can be of the same classmate, but the idea is to provide three different options to your client. You must use flash and the image must be reasonably well balanced (not overtly dramatic).

Portrait One - A more dramatic portrait with the back ground slightly darker. 

 

Portrait two- This was meant to be done in the sunlight but it was an overcast day so instead I used the flash to give a "sunlight" effect. So I did this by just lighting the hair, this gives the illusion that the sun is hitting it.
